MS. PARVEEN MAHMUD, FCA

Ms. Parveen Mahmud, FCA is the Managing Director of Grameen Telecom Trust. This organization facilitates social business activities by addressing social issues, poverty alleviation and women’s empowerment. Ms. Mahmud began her career with BRAC and is now a Board Member of BRAC International and BRAC Finance and Audit Committee. She was the Deputy Managing Director of Palli Karma- Sahayak Foundation ( PKSF), which is an apex funding institution of microfinance activities for poverty alleviation through employment generation. Ms. Mahmud is a chartered accountant by profession and is the past president – first woman president in the year 2011, of the Institute of Chartered accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB). She is also the first female board member of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), a leading accounting professional body of the SAARC countries. She was also a partner of ACNABIN-one of the leading chartered accountant’s firm of the country. Ms. Mahmud serves various boards and audit committees of distinguished organizations. She was the Chairperson of Acid Survivors Foundation. Mrs. Mahmud was the member, National Advisory Panel for SME Development of Bangladesh and founding board member of SME Foundation and Convenor, SME Women’s Forum. She is the Chairperson, Shasha Denims Ltd.
